setting up another user account

Hi

I am using XP and I am setting up another user account for the kids. So far
everything is fine except when I connect to the internet.

On my account, when I click the dial button I get a little traffic light
icon in the notification area and I can also hear the modem dialling out
etc. On the new account I don't get the little traffic light icon nor can I
hear the modem. It does dial out okay though and I can connect to the
internet. I would just like to be able to hear the dialling tone.

Any help appreciated

I don't have a modem so I can;t check this but...Perhaps there is an option
under....

Control Panel -> Network and Internet Connections -> Phone and modem
options" (on the left under "See Also")

Then select "Modems" tab and then "properties" at the bottom.

That's where I'd look if I had a modem.
