When I go to reboot or shut down it takes for ever to
finish some times up to 10 Min. or so. I am using XP Pro
Now it is to where it is quicker when you shut down and
the screen pops up saying shutting just push the reset
button.

Hi, Larry.
It's always faster when you just push the reset button. ;^}
But it might be slower next time you push the power button to turn it on.
As you probably know, after you click Turn off, WinXP has to "put away its
toys", exit running programs, close open files, update logs, etc., before
it's ready to cut the power. Aborting this cleanup process runs the risk of
leaving your system "dirty" and in need of cleanup or repair next time you
boot up.
The starting point for troubleshooting shutdown problems is Jim Eshelman's
page at:
