View Full Version : Undesired Redirection to IE7 Download Page

In the past couple of days, whenever I open an Internet Explorer window I
get redirected to a Microsoft page offering IE7 downloads, instead of
opening up to my home page. My hope page appears to be set correctly under
Tools ... Internet Options. How can I stop this from happening?

I understand that there may be advantages to IE7, but it is not completely
compatible with some of the software I use regularly, so I do not want to
upgrade to IE7 at this time.

Thank you in advance!

Try running the VB script here:

"Problem: IE always goes to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx instead of
your homepage": http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp

Kenny,

Thank you for your reply. The problem was related to Spybot, which is
installed on my computer. I'm not sure exactly how the problem began, but
deleting a rule in Spybot fixed the problem.
