Outlook Express relies upon the spell checker of
Microsoft Word to peform spell checks. If you do not have
Microsoft Word installed on your system then, i'm afraid,
you will have no spell check capability in Outlook
Express.
Incidentally Microsoft Word *does not* come with Windows
XP. Word is a seperate application and has to be
purchased seperately, either as a stand alone or as an
office suite of applications.
Hope this helps
