All was good until I tried Office XP for a week then
removed and reinstalled Office 97 and went back to
Outlook Express 6.

Below is the fix that allowed me to make OE6 default
again but the current problem is when sending pictures
from windows explorer it opens Outlook vs OE6.

Any help would be appreciated.
Tad

OL97 breaks keys in the registry regarding the default
mail program. After
all, it is a very old program whose only virtue is that
it once was
available as a free download from Microsoft. To fix the
damage, do the
following:

Go to Start | Run and type the following:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg
(Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure that is correct)

Make certain to include the quotations marks and the
space between the
ending quotation mark and the slash.

Then open Internet Explorer and go to Tools\Internet
Options\Programs and
set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it

right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
