I recently stored data on a CD-RW disc. I tried to put in
some changes to information on the disc and when I was
asked if I wanted to save I hit yes but the message came
up that it was a read only disc. Can I format this to be
rewritable and how or which program do I use to make the
disc rewritable? Thanks

If you are using XP's built in burning software it will treat a CD-R/W just
as if it were a regular CD-R. The only difference is that you can erase the
CD-R/W. If you want to make incremental changes to a specific file you will
need packet writing software. Alex Nichol has an excellent primer on CD
burning in XP http://www.aumha.org/a/xpcd.htm
