I see that a public version of XP Sp3 release candidate 2 is now
publicly available from MS

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=114f3599-12af-42b2-aab1-b969a62c68a7&DisplayLang=en.

Anyone know if this version will also need to be uninstalled when the
real thing (final version) arrives?

Why fool with it,
it will be officially released soon enough

Maybe but it don't mean to fool with it on your (maybe only)regular
pc.........
where do it say"install only on your pc that you use every day"?
