I posted this query in another thread, but it may have got lost there

Is it possible to combine 2 AVI files so that I can input them as a single
file to a DVD authoring program?.
(Doing this MAY clear up some problems - I can't be sure)

They are each a bit less 10Gb in size. I am thinking that there may be a
limit to file size under Windows XP

In any case, I don't know of a program to do it, so I am looking for a
freebie

No file limit size as long as you are using NTFS. If you have the correct
codecs for the AVI files, you can do it in Windows Movie Maker but...

It's going to take an awful long time to save the output....
and
You're going to end up with a file that could be even larger than 20gb since
WMM will only save in DV-AVI or WMV. There are many video editing programs
out there but most cost.... you might be able to find one that offers a
trial version that will work for 30 days or so.

Can't you just put the two individual files into your DVD authoring
software, as they can be burnt as one movie ultimately.
