Hi l was wondering if anyone would happen to know what would cause windows to
keep restarting all the time, l am getting a windows error message saying
that hardware that l have recently installed isnt working properly, however l
havent installed anything new so lm a little lost as to what and why this is
happening or is it just windows being its usual unreliable self? if anyone
has any ideas why this might be happening or solutionson they could suggest
ld really appreciate it.

Step One - Stop the re-booting:

Start your computer in Safe Mode. Once there, go to Control Panel >
System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery Settings button > remove
the checkmark from 'Automatically restart'.

Step Two - Gather information about the error:

Restart your computer and it will eventually stop at a blue screen.
Towards the bottom of the screen you'll see the word STOP: followed by a
number that begins with 0x. You'll also find the name given to the error
which looks LIKE_THIS. Write down the 0x number and/or the ERROR_NAME
and post back. Those details will help us steer you in the right connection.

When an error message talks about hardware, it can also mean a hardware
driver. If you've updated a driver or installed software that includes a
driver, you can end up in blue screen county.

Two points:

1. You are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot
whenever that happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties.
On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under
System failure, uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get
the blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those
details for more help.

2. This is usually a hardware problem, rather than a software one.
Possible culprits include overheating, bad RAM, and flaky power
supply. One of these is likely even if you have *not* installed
anything recently.
