Universal Serial Bus Mouse Does Not Work

Funny, M$ knows this problem and created a knowledge base article - 817581
for it. Here is the url for the article

Why do I still have to pay for this support just try to get the fix of USB
driver?

Typically there are no charges to request a hotfix that is not yet publicly
available. Going by the experiences I've had calling in for these: You may
need to give a credit card number to get the call pushed along to the tech.
Ask for just the hotfix. Refer to the article number. Answer any questions
about the issue that are asked. Do not ask tech support for any other
advice. Remind them to cancel charges before ending the call.
