Sound Card Detection with Photo Story 3

I have a photo story that I started in Photo Story 3, and want to add music
to it. But I keep getting a message that the program cannot detect my sound
card. Getting frustrated with all the online suggestions. Can someone please
tell me what to do for this problem????

Try run,type:DXDIAG Run the Direct X audio tests.Also,isnt xp movie-maker
about the same thing as photo story,try movie maker.....Also,one could,open
device mgr,expand the sound tree,R.click all the sound hardware,1 at a time
w/o restarting,select uninstall.XP will reinstall youre sound card on
restart.
