I've had XP Home for a few weeks (new Dell) and used Windows Update to
download the main security updates.
I have Automatic Update turned off
I have a dialup connection and every time I connect, something is
downloading in the background. The downloads are huge 48 megs, 80
megs, etc.
I went with the Service Pack 1 with the express download last week.
Yesterday I used Mozilla and d/l the express update (about 2 megs) and
Windows fooled around installing and d/l an additional 48 megs or so.
I got that all done (cold boot) and there is STILL something constantly
downloading. I use Norton 2003 and Zone Alarm Pro.
Help, please
