I recently had to reformat my disk because Win98se would
no longer boot. I have now installed WinXpHome. I need to
try to retieve my Favorites list from Win98se. Can anyone
tell me the name/path of the File and/or folder where
this is located in Win98se? I may have it on a backup
disk somewhere, but it would help if I knew where to look
and what to look for.

Hi

Open Internet Explorer in Win 98 and go to File>Import and Export... =
You can then save your Favourites to a floppy. Open IE in XP and go to =
File>Import and Export... You can then Import your Favourites from the =
floppy.

If Win98 did not have User Profiles they are usually in
C:\Windows\Favorites.

if you've re-formatted the disk, they're gone. Along with all the other
data, documents, ents, email etc. UNLESS you made a back-up first.
