i am looking at the network connections:
- i use a network bridge, so that is my network connection
- i click it, go to properties
- i see 2 tabs at the top of the new window: general and authentication
- i see the normal properties etc under them
- am i doing something wrong? i can't seem to get the Internet Connection

I don't know what you mean by a network bridge, but anyway I run XP Home and
you go into control panel, network connections and right click your
connection icon click properties and along the top there are tabs for
General/Options/Security/Networking/Advanced and the firewall is under the
Advanced tab.
That's how it is on my setup.

Not the network Bridge. What other Icons have you got in your Network
Connections?

I have Local Area Connection (which is enabled, but the tabs displayed are
General and Authentication) and 1394 Connection (enabled, but General Tab
only).

My Network Bridge is the only connection that I can acces the specific
properties of the connection (TCP/IP, Windows Networking, etc.) through. It
is the connection that connects my networked computers ( WinXP (1) and Win98
(1) ).

Thanks

AFAIK a Bridged connection cannot be firewalled or be on ICS. The Internet
Firewall should only be enabled on your Internet connection. The internet
connection should not be bridged with the LAN connection(s).

With only 2 computers a network bridge seems redundant. Unless you
specifically need this, unbridge your connections.. at least the internet
connection. Then you should be able to turn on the ICF.
