I installed Imaging from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. I copied all the
dll and ocx files into a new subdirectory and registered the ocx
files:
OCKODAK.DLL
OIENG400.DLL
OIPRT400.DLL
OISLB400.DLL
OISSQ400.DLL
OITWA400.DLL
OIUI400.DLL
IMGCMN.DLL
IMGADMIN.OCX
IMGEDIT.OCX
IMGSCAN.OCX
IMGTHUMB.OCX
Imaging seems to load correctly. However, when I attempt to view a
jpg file, I get the error that the compression format is invalid or
not supported. Any ideas or suggestions would be geatly appreciated.
I know there are other programs out there, but I have written some
code that launches this application from within another program;
Imaging works fine for this use.
Thanks,
Patrick

Patrick, I believe there are licensing reasons why we do not ship Kodak
Imaging on Windows XP.
If you have copied these files from one of your own Windows 2000 PCs then
this may well breach the licensing as will just using somebody else's
Windows 2000 CD.
In short I believe you may not install the version of Kodak Imaging shipped
with Windows 2000 on a Window XP machine

I used a program from a German website to install "Imaging for Windows"
from a Windows 98SE CD in Windows XP Home, but the program is not
available anymore on the website (I still have it).
No problems with JPG's.
As far I remember the website only mentioned Windows 98/ME CD's and
didn't refer to a Windows 2000 CD.
In addition Kelly's website mentions an installation method.
