I'm trying several boards for this question: Is there a Developer edition
of Access 2002 that I can buy without buying the entire Office Developer XP?

The developer edition of office does not include a "special" version of
Access. It's just Microsoft Access XP.

Then where are the "special" components for Developers, if not within the
application itself? Does MOD (Microsoft Office Developer) include a CD with
Access add-ins not available with the "regular" Access 2000? (I know that
MOD allows me to distribute a run-time version of Access applications, and
that I can't do this with the "regular" version of access. Where is this
functionality located if not within Access itself?)

Thanks for any reply.

ok, well yes if all you want is the ability to "Distribute Access version
2002 solutions royalty-free" then you would have to purchase the Developer
edition, this is a feature only available in this package.
