My printer installs and works fine, but when i reboot the printer icon stays
there but it says it is "not available" and the driver is not installed. I
delete the printer and reinstall it and it works fine until I reboot again.

Epson TM-T88IV Printer
This is a POS system. The printer has a serial connection to com1. This is
the only physical com port. On the "pre windows" setup there is the option to
make it com1, com3 or Auto select.
You can't go through the Windows Add Hardware, it has to be installed using
their install program.
