Help. I just bought a new dell computer. When I try to
load my calander program or granddaughters games I get
message"install nt service pack 3" I have xp home
addition. My reinstall cd says including service pack 1.
Does this mean I only have pack 1. I found a download of
nt service pak 3 but it says for windows nt. Should I
download it. Im basically computer illiterate. Can anyone
tell me what to do? Please email at
. It took me an hour to get to
this message board. Thankyou

Your programs aren't XP-compatible?

Hi Vivian,
Don't try and install any NT service packs. Your copy of XP is pretty
well up to date as it includes Service Pack 1. Leave the OS as it is and
forget about the games, I'm afraid.

Hi Vivian,
Depending on how old the programs you're trying to use are, they may not be
compatible with XP. I suggest checking with the maker of the programs for
newer versions that will be XP compatible.
