I was told I could download MS backup, somewhere on this
site for windows XP. Can not find anywhere.

Well, you were told wrong. There is no download for the
backup utitlity.....it can be installed from your XP CD.

No, that's not correct.=20
You presumably have XP Home. Backup is installed automatically on XP =
Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the complete XP Home CD, =
find backup on the CD, in \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it =
yourself.
