i have windows xp sp2 i did a disk cleanup and i think it deleted regestry
key for the desk top i have a black space at the left side off my desktop
screen the
screen seems to have moved over and i now dont have standbye where you turn
your computer of is anyone out there no anything about this problem thanks

The Disk Cleanup utility built into Windows doesn't remove registry keys.
You ran something else and/or did more than just run Disk Cleanup. If
whatever you used has an Undo feature, use it. Otherwise try a System
Restore to a date when things worked.

System restore to BEFORE you did the cleanup ?

well the only other thing i have is ccleanner would that have done it then

No. UNLESS you used its registry cleaner. That utility is not very
aggressive, but maybe you learned otherwise.
