What's good software to run on Windows XP for playing regular DVD's? I
have WinDVD4. Would more recent software make a noticeable difference
for a system with a hi-def quality monitor & graphics card but regular
DVD player?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would be surprised if there was a big difference...
but as a comparison...you could try the free VLC
Media Player.
