Whenever i click any links from this newgroup or
others it does not automatically lauch IE6 . I had to
copy and paste for the links to work.

That's neither an OE problem, nor a Windows XP problem, so why post here
with a subject of OE?

Tinker

Go to Start/Run and type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Press OK. (Type this
exactly as shown, including the space)

Then open Internet Explorer and go to Tools/Internet Options/Programs tab.
Click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Try a link in OE again.
