Oops....sorry for posting this question....I just found
my answer about 5 pages into this newsgroup.

if you used OE as your newsreader instead of web access, you would find
searching groups MUCH MUCH easier!

If you want to get the maximum use out of the newsgroups, see the link in my
signature to setup a newsreader to access the newsgroups. The web based
newsgroup format is the worst and most uninefficent way to use the Usenet.
