What for is the "system" process in Windows Task Manager?

As ever, Dmitriy, you've posted to multiple cross-platform News Groups
without stating which OS you are asking about - nor any real information
about what you are trying to find.
Assuming you are asking about XP, then open Task Manager and select the Help
menu. There is a fairly comprehensive overview of Task Manager given in the
Help Topics.
Try using the keyword - "process" - in the index tab for more detailed
information.

I know what a process is. I don't know what for the "system" process in
Windows Task Manager is.

There're several Services containing "system" in their name in the document.
What Service makes the "system" process?

There're several Services containing "system" in their name in the document.
No one of the Services makes the "system" process.
