In my error log every boot up I get this error. "A new media server was not
initialized because WMCreateDeviceRegistration() encountered error
'0xc00d2721'. The windows media DRM components on your computer might be
corrupted. Verify that protected files play correctly in windows media
player, and then restart the WMPNetworkSvc service." I am not sure what to do
to stop this error message. Windows media player seems to be working fine?
Any help would be appreciated.

Margie,

Windows Media Player has it's own newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/community/newsgroups/WindowsMedia/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsmedia.play er&lang=en&cr=US

Have you tried a repair in Add/Remove programs?

It looks like that the function to create the registry entries failed. This
info can be backed up here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa391610(VS.85).aspx

A simple Google search came up with this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891664/en-us

There's a link
(http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp) on that page
to update to the latest DRM files
