Hello,
Is there anyway I can set "Details" as the default view for any folder
window that I open?

Thanks,
Ashish

Hi

Set Windows Explorer to 'Details' and then go to Tools>Folder =
Options>View - and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. Re-start WE.

First you need the "fix" so that xp remembers more than 400 folder views.
Get it here - #2, 1st column.
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Then set your view.
Then in explorer: tools, folder options, view tab, apply to all folders.
