took laptop to repair depot for warrenty replacement of defective top cover.
they replaced cover, updated bios and ran dos bases hdw. diag. when i got
machine home i noticed an ADMINSTRATIVE TOOLS(control pannel) icon on the
desktop. it does not have the blue arrow that a short cut has. control
pannel has an ADM TOOLS icon also. both work but i dont know how one got on
to the desktop. i called the repair depot they said they did not do it.

trouble is i cannot delete it or move it (dont like access to that stuff on
the desktop) if i right click i dont have the option to delete or to open
properities. cant drag and drop anywhere even tried putting it in new folder
no go. i cannot move it any where.

how do i get it off the desktop????

unfortunatly OS is vista buisness but could not figure out how to post on
that forum please help

Try control-panel,display,desktop,customize,locate & run the "desktop clean-
up wizard".This should remove the shortcut.
