View Full Version : Uninstalled program still in Add/Remove programs, not in registry

Hi all,

I have a program that still appears in my Add/Remove problems list even
though I already uninstalled it. Problem is that when I log in as Admin it
doesn't appear in the list, and I can't find it with Regedt. To complicate
matters the 'last used' date shows it as being used when I am in fact using a
newer version of the software. How can I remove all traces of the older,
uninstalled program when there is no trace of it when logged in as Admin?

Thanks!

After running the CleanUp utility, go back into Add/Remove
If the application is still in the list, select it and see if you now
have an option to delete the entry.

Hi, I've tried both of these already, and neither can 'see' the problem
program. It's only when I'm logged in with my non-admin account that it
appears, and then I can't access the registry or run the Installer Cleanup
utility.

Change the account to admin rights, do your cleanup, then change it back to
limited.
