I have folders and files in 'my documents' that are read
only. When I remove the read-only check in the
properties window, it reverts back again.

I have software that tries to use the folders, and cannot
because of the read only restriction.

How can the folders be reconfigured for use in creating
new paths?

Thankyou

Select the files instead of the folders and remove the Read Only attribute.
You can use the properties of a selected group of files instead of having
to do them one by one.

If you still run into no access messages, the problem may be a permissions
issue instead of an attribute problem.
