Wile attempting to share a movie file on XP with Vista, Xp reboots. Have
Service pack 3 installed on XP. Vista tells me I need LLTD on XP. But , the
hotfix wont download , service pack 3 says I dont need it. Yet, LLTD is not
in the list on XP LAC properties. Can someone please help me with this
issue? Thanks
I'm starting to lose patience as this is very frusterating.
Also, all other available avenues to solve this have been explored, firewall
config , modem config etc...

LLTD is nice, but not necessary. Its lack does not cause your
problem.

I would try to reload the network adapter driver, using the
latest version available from the manufacturer. If that doesn't
help, do a repair installation, see
http://winhlp.com/node/17#Repair_installation , and try again to
update the network adapter driver.
