I installed iMesh on my computer based on the mis-guided
recommendation of a friend and found that the software is using my
computer as a server. Anything you download is put into a dat file,
stored on your HDD then when other people want to download something
you've downloaded, they use your computer as a server. Imesh loads a
bunch of advertising software (call home programs) on your HDD,
something my friend neglected to tell me about.
I am currently searching a way to get it all uninstalled from my
computer because all the advertising software is slowing my internet
connection. My suggestion to you is to subscribe to a usenet service
rather than imesh.
