Hi,
I just got Windows XP and I'm relatively new to computers
so please bear with me! I don't know exactly what I'm
doing wrong but I am trying to map the drive letter J:\
to \\FamilyPC\CDrive to no avail. It seems like it should
be so simple; yet I'm not getting it. (I made sure to
share the C:/ (Which I called CDrive).

It's interesting to note that when I browse to the
desired folder, the top level path is My Network Places.
I never have the option to browse to the C:\, or CDrive.

I had no trouble renaming the drive, the whole problem is
that when I click "Finish" on the "Map Network Drive"
dialog box, I get the Error: "The network path
\\FamilyPC\\CDrive could not be found."

Your C drive should already be shared to administrator users as "C$"
already. Try mapping J: to '\\familypc\c$' and see if that helps.
