Firewall ^ Virus software

I cannot load Norton sotware
Have Windows XP Home
Get Message: Error 1402. Could not open Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\IAM\Firewall
Objects\IPGroup\NISInternet.
I have followed all instructions issued by Norton
re 'Permissions' still get same msge. Advised problem is
windows???
Any suggestions? I am surfing the net with NO PROTECTION.

Personally I'd return Norton's broken software to wherever you got it and
buy something that works instead.
