Help - a novice here!

When shutting down xp a couple times said another user
logged on - my brother told me - "time to change your
password" which I did & systems started slowing down
around then & recently I finally downloaded the updates
including the "service pack" - any ideas on if one of the
above or all are the reasons my system is sooooo slow & I
have a cable modem????

Thanks

Cal

Hi Cal,

Enable the firewall - it sounds like you have remote user connecting to your
machine. To enable it, check the properties/advanced tab of your connection.
