Background:
The company I am working for is looking at upgrading
everyone to Windows XP. One of the problems that we are
experiencing is on computers where ther may be multiple
users. Specifically, a piece of production equipment
that has a program on it which has different levels of
access (operator, supervisor, engieer, etc). The
operator is the person who would be the primary user of
the equipment.
THE PROBLEM: If the "operator(s)" of the machine do not
perform any functions on the computer for a period of
about 5 minutes then they need to enter their username
and password to perform the task. There are also
instances where to production operators share the same
computer, without the need for this security feature
either.
THE QUESTION: How can we turn this feature off or at
least extend the time delay for having to log back in so
that it does not effect us this way?
