make wmp my default player in Netscape 7.1

If i try to see a movie in netscape 7.1 the programm wants
to start quicktime. I have deleted that program because I
did not like it. But my pc keeps on trying to play the
movies in quicktime. I cannot find the place to change a
setting. Does anybody know where to find it?

Hi Ed,

Open WMP, click tools/options/file types tab and see if that file extension
is listed - if so, enable (check) it.

Also, check control panel/folder options/file types tab, scroll down to that
media extension and click on it, then on advanced. You need to change (edit)
the action (play) program association.
