safe mode

I interupt with F8 to get to menu but "safe mode" is not
one of my options to boot from ? I cant do this through
MSCONFIG because I have a SPYBOT WORM kepping this window
closed...any clue. I need to go into safe mode to delete
this file because Norton sucks and cant do anything for
me.

Hi,

Before rebooting, start/run C:\boot.ini, add /safeboot to the end of the
line that boots your system, like this:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /safeboot

See if this allows safe mode to load.
