Deleting entry from "Add or Remove Programs"

I was trying to uninstall a program by
clicking "Change/Remove" under the "Add or Remove
Programs" in Control Panel but it came out with an error
message "Unable to locate the installation log
file "...\SDVPlus.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue."

So I manually went to program home directory
under "C:\Program Files" and forcibly deleted the
directory away. However, the program still remained in
the "Add or Remove Programs" list despite rebooting the
machine. So, how do I go about deleting the program even
from the "Add or Remove Programs" list? I tried fiddling
around with regedt32 but was not successful.
