We are assisting a school to set up a network with 30
Windows 98SE PCs and a Windows XP Pro "Server". We need
to restrict access to the server for certain users. In
the help file we found the section on Logon Scripts and
this seems to be the way to control how people log onto
the system. However, the help files refer to a security
tab under the properties of the LAN connection where we
have to activae the logon script and we do not have the
tab. The help file says the following:
"To activate a logon script
Open Network Connections.
Right-click the connection on which you want to run a
script, and then click Properties.
On the Security tab, select the Run script check box.
To use an existing script file, click Browse.
Or, to use Switch.inf, click Edit."
There is no security tab where we can do this.
Please help.
