My computer used to be on campus and thus part of the
campus workgroup GSB. Now, that I've taken them off the
network, I still log into that account (although it fails
to connect to the workgroup, it loads cached settings)
because I like the desktop settings and outlook settings,
etc. Is there an easy way to migrate the settings to an
account that is not associated with the workgroup.

Right now, I'm using the bho.GSB user profile.

On your XP CD in the support\tools directory there is
something call Fastwiz. This is the files and settings
transfer wizard. You run it on the account you are to
transfer from, and you need to carefully limit what it
will transfer or else you will generate a huge file, and
then you log into the new account and run it again to
import what was save during the first use of it.
The original account is not damaged.
