I have an appliocation which opens in a window and I routinely minimise it as
one of the first things I do. It then appears as an icon in the system tray.
Is there a general way in which I can specify whether applications open
minimised or maximised, or is the procedure always specific to the particular
application?
TIA ... Greg

Right click the shortcut for the app and you'll see an option called "Run".
You can designate normal window, maximized or minimized.
