Since my laptop returned from an overseas visit, the time/date won't up-date
automatically. I have to manually up-date every time I turn on my computer.
Once I manually up-date, the time and date work okay. What is happening when
I turn off the computer? I right click and up-date. I just have to keep
resetting when I turn on the computer.

Have you reset your time zone, too?

Sounds like the CMOS battery needs to be replaced....

To Bonnie - sounds like you need to reset in control panel Date and
Time .
