Disk Cleanup

Can anyone help me? My Disk Cleanup has stopped working
(it hangs up on "compressing old files"). I do not have a
Windows XP Pro disc, only a restoration floppy with a
backup in a HD partition. Is there any way of fixing Disk
Cleanup short of restoring from the backup partition? Can
MS provide a "non-corrupted" Disk Cleanup for re-
installation, etc.? Thanks very much in advance!

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
