In order to maximize your chances of success and cause less confusion,
please stick to your original thread.

Have you tried the method on this page?:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

Have you backed up all your data?

Did you see my other reply to you in your other thread?

Not unless you tell us what's wrong and what you want to fix.

Assuming that you placed a portion of an error message in the subject
line, rather than posting the _entire_ error message within the body of
your post, where it belongs:

That article seems to be implying you're already
in the C:\Windows directory, when you type "md tmp".
Because later in the sequence, they refer to
copying things into C:\Windows\tmp . So either
you don't currently have permissions to create
a directory in C:\Windows, or you were actually
starting in some other directory.

There is a list of recovery console commands here.
Included is "cd" which stands for Change Directory.
That is the command you use to change the current
working directory.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058

"Type cd without parameters to display the current drive and folder."

Did you have a power interruption prior to this incident? (yes/no)

If you boot RC and you do not end up in the C:\WINDOWS directory, you
need to fix that first. Until you fix that, it makes little sense to
"try" anything else. You need to fix it.

At least you can get into Recovery Console. You need to start with:

chkdsk /r

Then fix what is left. You may not need to worry about KB307545 at
all.
