Got this really annoying white square that appears on the
top left of my desktop covering some normal icons with 15
minutes,30 minutes,1 hour,3-6-12-24 hours written on it,
any of which can be highligted by the curser.
This square can be removed by using the "show desktop"
button alongside the start button at bottom of screen,
but when I return to my desktop after having opened a
program or application, HELLO its back.
Have asked other XP users but no-one can duplicate this
haunting. One user mumbled something about "syntax".Got
to pass on that one...any ideas?? this things driving me
nuts!
cheers..

Hi,

Right-click the desktop, select properties. Go to the desktop tab, click on
"customize desktop". Go to the web tab, are there any active items here? If
so, disable it.
