Running Windows XP, ever since my last update I get the
following message with many emails with attachments: "OE
has denied access to this attachment because it might
contain unsafe material." Never got it before. Now get it
frequently, even as to attachments from reliable sourtces.
Any others have this problem? Any fix?

In Outlook Express a security feature was turned on to prevent any
attachments (which can
contain viruses) from being opened. To access the attachment(s), choose
Tools-->Options-->Security
and uncheck the box that says 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or
opened ....'.

Consider leaving that feature on (e.g. checked) until you need to retrieve
an attachment
from a known sender, then get it and recheck the box, so you don't
inadvertently open a
harmful attachment.
