Power mgmt not working/// no addresses or passwrds saved

OK.... i've told the computer how i want it to power up
and down... used the tool/setting/power mgmt settings
and the computer still runs all night and day.. how do i
fix that? any help?
Secondly, i've used the autocomplete in the past with
success but now it seems to not work... I check the
little boxes to "auto complete" but still gotta type my
whole e-mail address out and log in to hotmail every time
i go to check e-mail... any help? thanks for letting
me "vent" a little.

I would start with checking what is running in the background. An
application or a device may block Windows from seeing the computer as
idle.
