I have a few user accounts set up on my machine running
XP Home Edition. As you know, people can store their
various things like pictures in My Pictures and docs in
My Documents and so on. You can't access other people's
files directly, as they are only accessible via the
persons account, or at least that is supposed to happen.
To see other users pictures for example, all you have to
do is do a search for all jpeg's on the hard drive and
all jpegs on the machine comes back, including pictures
from all users My Pictures folders. What is the point of
having individual profiles if this can be allowed to
happen ? Is there anyway to stop this, so no one can see
other people files at all ???

Thanks.

Greetings --

Is you hard drive formatted as NTFS or as FAT32? FAT32 has _no_
security capabilities.
