I'm trying to reconfigure WinfaxPro v.10.02 to accept prepaid credit
cards ... which it's been totally unable to do from the get go.
Symantec only provides the barest of info, preferring instead that I
pay $30 for Support and $2.95/min. phone charge.

Try emailing Symantec for support on this issue.
I can't say specifically about Symantec, but lots of places will charge for
phone support but provide email support free - usually within 48 hours
depending on their target clearance rate.
If still no luck ,tell them you'll return the product if its not doing what
you bought it for.
(This works with U.K.retail law, - your state purchase law may well be
different, but its an angle)

Thanks Chek,

I've finally managed to learn enough about the Registry to accomplish
the "dastardly deed" ... by George I've got it.
Much obliged ...
