How is the free product ZoneAlarm Basic compared to
Microsoft's Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) in XP?

Zonealarm is much better, because it also controls the activity from
your computer to the internet. You have full control of which programs
are allowed to access the internet. Just turn off the ICF, it will
only secure incoming requests. In tests Zonealarm have done its job,
when other firewalls failed. But you will need a good antivirus too,
and you are not safe for everything. You have to take care on what you
download, at what sites you go into. I do not have to tell you which
ones are worse than others...
